Pastor Joe Alain has been preaching and teaching for over thirty years. A native of Florida, Pastor Joe comes to Carrollwood from South Louisiana where he served as the Senior Pastor of Hebron Baptist Church, Denham Springs, and First Baptist Church of Port Allen. Joe employs an expositional style of preaching and teaching and the use of metaphor, humor, and probing questions is often seen in his sermons.
Joe is married to Rhonda and they have three children and are the proud grandparents of Liam and Gracie Mae. Joe is a graduate of The Baptist College of Florida and The New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, having received both the M.Div. and Ph.D degrees. As well as pastoring, Joe has served as an adjunct faculty member of the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary since 2000. When not involved in church ministries, Joe enjoys hiking, reading, and spending time with the grandkids.
Favorite Bible Verse: One verse that I have gone to repeatedly as a confession of praise to God and to share with others is 2 Corinthians 5:17, ESV. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” What God did for me by his amazing grace, he will do for anyone who will come to Him in simple faith!
