Is time flying by for you? It sure seems to be for me. I think I need 25 or 26 hours in my days. Trying to keep busy is not a problem around the Rives household. I have spent most of my free time working on Baby Cribs that I am making for Abbey and Riley. Their arrival is just around the corner and Grandpa sure is looking forward to that. Let me take a moment here to thank all of you who have been prayer warriors on TJ and Jen’s behalf. A word of thanks to those who have been so gracious with your words of encouragement to them and to us. The word of God tells us that the prayers of righteous men are

powerful and effective. We are experiencing that in the Rives Family right now and I thank you.
We are staying busy around the church as well. Special programs for our evening Worship Rallies have been exactly that, Special. We began with a great time of fun and fellowship with “Who Wants to Be a Bibleaire?” We followed that with a special presentation by Chris and Pam Ammons, our missionaries that are living in the Wickham Mission Home. It gave us a chance to get to know them better and to get a glimpse of what God has for them in their next assignment. One of the best usages of funds and property is the Wickham Mission Home. It gives us a chance to see, hear and touch “Live Missionaries”. This gives all of Carrollwood Baptist a more personal feel for what missions are all about. The King’s Clowns entertained us with a fun way to share the gospel. Our Student Choir and Student Praise Band led us in Worship. We got to get a feel of how they celebrate on Wednesday night at Refuge. We had a great night of singing our favorite hymns and praise songs and in another week we will close out the Rallies with a fellowship where we will play “Are you smarter than a 5th grader?”
It has been and promises to be a lot of fun.
Let me give you an update on our search for who God has to be our Minister of Music. We have been busy going through resumes and mailing out questionnaires. From the returned questionnaires, I have conducted telephone interviews with 10 or more prospects. We are in the process now of trying to have a face to face meeting with some of these and that part should finish in the next few weeks. At that time our search committee will begin contacting and interviewing prospective candidates. We will do these one at a time until God reveals the exact person He has for us. In the meantime, keep praying. Remember the prayers of righteous men are powerful and effective.
One last word. We are on schedule for our Mission Trip where we will build a church near Teresina, Brazil in August. Thank you for your continued support as you give toward our “Buckets of Blessings for Building in Brazil”.

Yours in Christ,

Pastor Tom
